ROOTED IN TRUTH BOOK COVER Rooted In Truth is a rudimentary trace of a person’s life that encompasses courage, vision, history, strength, struggles, spirituality, political and social consciousness, and culture. This book enlightens the reader of the past, the present, and the future. The book reveals how life’s realities take us from our soul person to our spiritual being. Look closely at the illustration; it is symbolic of a family tree. The branches transcend into future generations that further extend the old heritage while creating a new chapter. The trunk is emblematic of the present generation and the lessons learned during our walk through life, molding our culture from what it is today into what it will become tomorrow.

The roots represent ancestors handing down stories, traditions, phobias, superstitions, sins, struggles, sacrifices, courage, pain and suffering, faith, love, anger, and reverence for God. Amongst the leaves of every generation is the presence of the Comforter. Though we may not see Him, He is always there. Seek Him and you shall find Him. nor tell lies,
for you are my life
not a token prize

those who provoke harm on you,
for you shall never feel alarmed

whose instrument has such charm

I shall be there when needed
and comfort you and
see that you are well treated,
regardless of the reason

and never in my shadow
